Luke Turner picks a key player for Friday’s game…

The international break is finally over and we can all turn our attention back to Blues as they travel to Nottingham Forest on Friday night.

Philippe Montanier`s side have had an up and down start to the season and currently sit 18th in the table with 12 points.

I feel that they are definitely there for the taking and, if Blues are to come away with all three points, then I think that David Davis will be key to it.

He’s been immense for us in these opening few months of the season and I can see him having another stormer of a game at the City Ground.

Away from home, we are known to be a counter attacking side so we will be more than happy to allow Forest to have plenty of the ball.

But, there will have to be a time when we decide to press and overturn possession. This is when Davis will be crucial.

The timing of his challenges and then the strength to get away from an opponent could really benefit us in turning defence into attack.

He might not be the man to finish a move off or assist someone but he is definitely the man to begin a move through his expert tackling.

If he can pick pocket the Forest players high up the pitch and then give it to the likes of Maghoma and Adams, then we could see Blues have plenty of chances.

Davis will also be key in helping put a halt to Forest`s attacks which could potentially lead to our defence becoming under pressure.

If he puts in this all round type of performance then he will once again be a big player for us on Friday night and, hopefully, we can claim another victory and stretch our unbeaten run.
