Well, at least he wouldn’t have to move very far for his new job.
And he does, somewhat, fit the job description of what the club want in the new boss. Although I imagine that it will be pretty hard to tempt someone away from a club that is very much on the up (even if they didn’t have to totally finish the job in order to do it, but we’ll let that slide given the circumstances).
According to journalist Alan Nixon one of the names being floated for the Birmingham City managerial spot in the summer is Coventry City boss Mark Robins, although he does later state that Robins is happy with the Sky Blues, so that might make it even trickier to appoint him.
Robins would certainly come into the job with plenty of experience in his back pocket, having started his career in the dugout in 2007 at Rotherham, and his recent success with Coventry would tick the box of knowing how to get promoted.
But when the question was put to the Birmingham City fans if they’d want him in charge by @BCFC_News, they were pretty split on the idea.
Better than Clough option.

I was one of about a hundred blues fans that went to the replay against Cov. They cut through us repeatedly, playing lovely one-touch football. They are clearly very well coached. I’d be very happy with him.

Million percent. Apart from Hughton or Slav there’s no one I’d rather want. Just doubt he’d leave cov
