Blues sit nervously just two points above drop zone

Birmingham City go into tomorrow’s second city derby just two points above the relegation zone.

Today’s Championship action saw Blackburn Rovers held to a goalless draw at Wolves. However, Nottingham Forest beat Reading 3-2 at the City Ground meaning they jump above Blues into 20th.

Bristol City and Burton Albion are safe after winning their games – both move on to 51 points.

Championship bottom six
19. QPR (50 pts)
20. Forest (48 pts)
21. Blues  (47 pts)

22. Blackburn  (45 pts)
23. Wigan (41 pts)
24. Rotherham  (21 pts)

A win at Villa Park would propel Blues up to joint 19th – five points ahead of the bottom three with two games to go.

A draw would move them to joint 20th – three points clear.

A defeat would mean Blues stay 21st – two points above the relegation zone.
