Domestic football returns this weekend after the international break and Birmingham City will be looking to extend their fine run of form.
Garry Monk’s side have lost just one of their last 13 matches in the Championship, surging up the table as a result and now sitting on the verge of truly pushing themselves into the promotion hunt.
A stern test awaits this weekend as the Blues make the short trip across the city to tackle arch-rivals Aston Villa, looking to put recent history behind them as results at Villa Park have not been positive in the past few years.
With an impressive run of form behind them, Birmingham fans have increased in confidence significantly ahead of this weekend’s game and some have taken to social media to express their optimism ahead of the clash.
However, vocal Villa supporters have not shied away from responding to these claims and we have gathered some of their reactions below.

Yeah and Lichfield will be empty all day… Blah blah, almost as empty as St Andrex on matchday

Blues fans still wonder why they don’t see villa fans in town every game…….not realising we play away when they are at home

If by ‘storm’ you mean hang around outside New St singing to yourselves waiting for your escort straight to the away end then I whole-heartedly agree with you champ

Just another game for the Villa, but I guess it’s Birmingham City’s cup final. Very sad..
