Birmingham City’s owners have no plans to review the managerial situation at the club until the end of the season, Vital Blues understands.

A source close to the club disclosed- ‘unless something drastically changes or the results become emphatically worse, the club will not review the managerial situation until the seasons close’.

Gianfranco Zola has been the subject of rumours and hearsay recently after winning just two of his 18 games in charge. But the Italian, who has been at St. Andrews since December, is likely to see the season out in the hot seat.

Reading between the lines, a string of heavy defeats could change that stance and Zola has always confessed that he would walk away the money he feels he cannot take the club any further.

However, listening to the managers press conferences, he gives off an aura of a man who remains confident of turning it around.
