Gianfranco Zola could be set to make some changes to his squad for Saturday’s FA Cup third round tie against Newcastle United at St. Andrews.

Paul Caddis, Viv Solomon-Otabor, Reece Brown, Paul Robinson, Josh Cogley and Ronan Hale are being considered and may start or be included in the squad. And Zola will wait until the last minute before deciding whether to include Diego Fabbrini, who is currently out injured.

Newcastle are also expected to field a second string line-up as their manager, Rafa Benitez, prioritises the Championship over any cup run.

Tickets are still available from bcfc.com.

  • Zola should play 3-5-2 and play an entire second string. We don’t care about the result. All we want to see is the players playing with freedom. My team would be

    Legzdins
    Harding Cleary Robbo
    Caddis Brown Maxwell Fabbrini Bernard
    VSO Hale

  • It’s got to be a mix ljaz- I’d go 4-1-4-1. Legzdins, Caddis, Shotton, Robinson, Cogley, Gleeson, Maghoma, Brown, Davis, Solomon, Jutkiewicz. SUBS: Kuszczak, Morrison, Kieftenbeld, Fabbrini, Tesche, Adams, Hale

  • Wow ….There’s lovely for ya …..Blues have a manager that DARES ….It been a long time coming …Respect to Marco ……KRO

  • The last time we played 352 was versus Forest Green in pre season and battered them. Sadly GR never tried that again. If that is the way Zola likes to play then he should use this game to work towards an end goal. Rowett used Bernard as LWB and Caddis as RWB. I think we need some creativity in the middle to provide a cutting edge . Davis has 8 yellow cards so I wouldn’t play him in this glorified friendly. I’d give Juke a rest too.
