An Italian publication are reporting that Nikola Zigic wants to remain in England.
Zigic was the subject of a late and desperate bid by Arsenal to acquire another striker. But since Manchester United were able to bring in Falcao, Danny Welbeck was allowed to leave for Arsenal.
The big Serb has since confirmed the story and was disappointed he could not seal the move. Although, Arsenal fans were quite pleased about how things turned out.
Now it is believed that Zigic has asked his agent to secure him a Premier League move as he does not want to leave England.
Zigic rose to fame after completing his £7 million move to Birmingham, from Valencia, in 2010. Although his stock has steadily fallen since his move to England, he was able to play a pivotal role in securing the Carling Cup for Birmingham in 2011.
Meanwhile, Birmingham have been able to stabilise their finances after offloading Zigic`s huge wages. The club has turned down a bid for a bright young prospect and have even recruited across the squad.
