A young looking Birmingham side salvaged a point late on against Burnley on Saturday thanks to a very late strike from Nikola Zigic.

Joseph Mills was lucky to escape with a yellow card for his foul on Robert Hall on the right wing, and from the resulting free-kick Hall delivered a great cross which was headed home by Davies.

Blues looked to have got away with conceding an equaliser just after the hour when Charlie Austin saw a goal wiped away when the referee brought play back when an advantage should really have been played.

But the luck didn’t hold out very long as soon after the visitors were celebrating pulling level and then taking the lead within the space of three minutes.

Danny Ings levelled with a well-taken finish and straight from the kick-off, Burnley were awarded a free kick which Ross Wallace dispatched via the underside of the bar.

But Serbian striker Zigic hammered home in the final minute to make sure Blues took another point.
