Yeung Wont Be At First Home Game

Birmingham City owner Carson Yeung, who has been charged with money-laundering in Hong Kong has been refused permission to attend the first home game of the season.

Yeung appeared in court to seek a change to his bail conditions which would have allowed him to leave Hong Kong for a four day trip to Britain in which time he would have attended the game on Saturday.

Magistrate David Dufton refused the application, although Yeung’s lawyer, Jonathan Kwan, is working out a plan of appeal.

Yeung faces five counts of ‘dealing with property known or believed to represent proceeds of an indictable offence’.
