The upcoming book Haircuts and League Cups: The Rise and Fall of Carson Yeung has revealed that Carson Yeung allegedly deliberately disrupted the sale of the club.

Despite telling the media and supporters that the club would be sold, behind the scenes it appears that this was not the case. Yeung was holding onto the club, just in case he beat the money laundering charges he was facing at the time.

It is no secret that Yeung saw owning a football club in a big city as a status symbol and despite facing jail he did not want to let go of that.

It could be reasonable to assume that what BIHL release into the media and what their genuine intentions may be are two totally different things. As we raised yesterday, are they even trying to sell the club now?

The club has been up for sale for three years now and is no closer to a sale. There has been plenty of interest from several creditable consortium’s, but it seems that the club is to held for even longer.

The Birmingham Mail have been able to reveal some aspects of the book before it’s release on October 22, copies of the book will be available from amazon.co.uk – do grab yourself a copy if the Yeung saga is something that interests you.
