After losing out on Ipswich Town’s Bartosz Bialkowski, fans are now wondering where the club’s goalkeeper search will head next.
Former Dutch international keeper Tim Krul is available on a free transfer after leaving Brighton at the end of last season.
The 30-year-old has struggled with injuries for the past few years but some supporters on Twitter started discussing whether we should try to bring in the ex Newcastle player:
Why aren’t #BCFC interested in Krul? Good keeper, free agent and would make perfect sense.

Depends on wage demands I suppose.

Great shout however I can’t remember the last time Krul played half a season without being out through injury

No way could we afford his wages

Wages would be very high I'd imagine

We won’t sign a keeper till/if Stocko leaves
— Ryan Vaughan (@Vaughanie_) July 17, 2018
Injury record I imagine is a reason which would put off many… Especially on wage he would command

Verdict:
Krul has suffered a couple of serious knee injuries which have taken their toll. Although an experienced goalkeeper, I don’t think he’d be an improvement on either Stockdale or Kuszczak.
He could probably be brought in on a short-term basis, but other than that, I struggle to see why it would be a good move for us.
What do you think? Is the Dutchman someone Garry Monk should consider as a possible solution for our goalkeeping situation? Let me know in the poll:
