I don’t want to tempt fate here, but by the sounds of it, the deal has finally been completed and we can put this all behind us.

Although, if things do change at a late stage, much like they threatened to do a few days ago, I honestly won’t be surprised.

According to a report in German outlet BILD, the deal between Borussia Dortmund and Jude Bellingham has finally been completed, with the 17-year-old set to sign a deal there until 2025, with the Blues receiving €23m in return for his services.

Are we being fleeced by accepting €23m for Jude?

What this will do for the rest of Bellingham’s season (will Dortmund still allow him to play for us now that he’s their player for instance) is yet to be known, but one thing we do know is that the fee, well short of what has previously been speculated regarding him certainly a bone of contention with Blues fans on social media, who had a variety of responses to the news, with some wondering if we’ll get anything else back for him.

What about you? What do you make of the fee we’re supposedly getting for Bellingham?

  • I don’t think he’s been the same player for us since lockdown, (although he’s not on his own tbf) It’s time we dropped him and moved on. I can’t decide whether £20 million is a good deal or not, considering this time last year nobody knew who he was, and considering the current financial climate I suppose we have to take what we can get. I just hope there will be a decent sell on.

    • Agree 100% with you Chris. He COULD be a world beater in the future but it is no means guaranteed as seen with so many previous youngsters who like fireworks are brilliant for a short time then fizzle out. The thing that sets Jude apart is his apparent character. If things DO get tough for him in the future I think he will work to change things to put things right.
If we weren’t in the process of selling him I think he would’ve been dropped this week as he is not bringing anything to a very poor team.

  • Final figure as yet to be announced but will probably have add ons as well so until then its not worth saying anything. One thing I will say and I said it the other day is that I would not play him anymore, he is going end off so lets play the ones who are the future of BCFC and that goes for all other loanees as well. Loans have ruined Football in my opinion.

  • I’m in two minds about June is he worth 20 mill . I would say at the moment he is .but kn the other hand hand is only 17 and could get better or he could get burnt out next season so 20 mill would be a bargin for us and a big sell on fee .what ever happens I wish him all the best for the future
