Wolverhampton Wanderers look set to land former Birmingham Loanee Chris Wood.
Wolves are understood to need a better quality big man to play up front this season after being forced to resign Leon Clarke in recent times to play that role.
The transfer has been heating up these past few days however Kenny Jacket did say things were a long way off this weekend.
It is no secret Wolves are on sound financial footing and could be set to flex their muscle this year, fitting straight in at Championship level.
Wood, now 22, spent just five months on loan with Birmingham City. He scored 9 goals in 23 appearances. Wood also made appearances in the Europa League, scoring against Nacional and FC Brugges.
