Wolves have agreed a £7million fee with Birmingham City for defender Roger Johnson.

Personal terms are being discussed between the player and club and if things go right for both parties, Johnson will be the latest in an ever growing line of players leaving St Andrews.

If Wolves were to buy, they would match their record pay out for a player with Steven Fletcher joining for the same price last season from Burnley.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is keen to bring in a new centre-back and although he had a bid for Reading`s Matt Mills turned down, Johnson has been a target for some time.

Blues had initially been hoping to secure around £10million for the player.
