Wigan in the Sights

It would seem that the team directly above Birmingham are in turmoil and it doesn’t seem to be getting better any time soon.

Uwe Rosler is beginning to lose support at Wigan as his passing style of play is coming undone and his side have since suffered a 3-1 defeat to local rivals Bolton.

Birmingham could now well be set to overcome and climb above Wigan as they struggle to get their house in order. Blues on the other hand look unified again, behind new manager Gary Rowett.

Blues next game is away at Rotherham, a game certainly winnable and a game that the team should be aiming to win. Rowett will surely be planning a game plan to get all three points there.

This could all add up to quite a jump for Birmingham should they manage to pick up three points in their next game.

Birmingham sit joint 22nd with Wigan, 23rd on goal difference. So even a draw could see them move up if Wigan are unable to get a point at Middlesbrough, which looks unlikely.

What do you think, are Blues set to leave Wigan behind us following the next round of fixtures?
