I suppose giving him his opportunity might just be the biggest legacy of the Pep Clotet era.
So it’s only fair that we highlight his message to the departing boss.
As I’m sure you’re aware by now, the Spaniard announced yesterday that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season to pursue other opportunities in coaching, this was followed by a wave of messages from the supporters.
But it’s not just the fans who have been voicing their sentiments surrounding his departure, some of the players have been doing so as well, perhaps none more prominent though than Jude Bellingham. The 16-year-old made his debut under the Spaniard back in August and since then gone on to become an ever-present in the first-team picture.
Has Clotet been a good head coach overall for the Blues?
Yes
No
Although it is highly likely that he will leave the club in the summer along with Clotet, that didn’t stop him from posting this message on his Twitter account to thank Clotet for giving him a chance. This was followed by more messages of support for the youngster from fellow Bluenoses, with some taking the opportunity to talk about his own future.
