Since joining Blues from Stevenage in April, Jack Storer has been an unknown quantity to many Blues fans. But after opening his first team scoring account at Forest Green on Saturday, the 18 year-old has been thrust into the spotlight.

During his 32 minute appearance at The New Lawn, Storer scored, had a goal disallowed and tested the Forest Green ‘keeper on several occasions.

With Gary Rowett searching high and low for a new striker, could Storer be an option in the first team picture?

Clayton Donaldson is the main man with James Vaughan the main back-up option. But Vaughan has been attracting interest from Rangers and his immediate future is uncertain. Nicolai Brock-Madsen is the other possible back-up but his progress has been a slow process.

It`s likely that a new striker will be confirmed in the coming weeks resulting in Storer being loaned out or utilised in the development squad. But the bigger picture points to a possible opening for the youngster.
