The club’s official Twitter account congratulated Kristian Pedersen for being named in WhoScored.com’s Championship Team of the Week.
The Danish defender was given a score of 7.7 after his display against Norwich at the weekend. The website reports he made five tackles, two interceptions, two blocks and eight clearances during the game on Saturday.
Fans on Twitter were keen to praise our no.3’s for his debut, although some were not going to be moved on their opinion about his first game in a Blues shirt:
WhoScored is based purely on statistics, statistics don't include a defender being caught out of position.

Bit of a difference to the 5.5 the Birmingham mail gave him. Early days yet #KRO

They must have been watching a completely different game. He was woeful.

Others were more measured in their view of the left back’s display:
wasn't impressed with him but he showed bright signs occasionally

As our only current summer signing, the spotlight will be on the left-back, but we shouldn’t be judging anyone off one game. Although I do have some concerns with his decisions defensively, there was more than enough there to indicate that he is a decent buy.
There is always a typical Twitter overreaction to these type of things, but it is interesting how one fan can see a player’s performance completely differently to another.
