Birmingham City fans can have real hopes of reaching the FA Cup final now according to manager Alex McLeish.

Three of the Premier League`s top four have bitten the dust and another good side, Everton have been knocked out of the competition by Blues.

“In the early part of the FA Cup you`re not looking as far as this,” McLeish told the Birmingham Mail.

“But the fact we had a place going begging for the quarter-finals had made it all of a sudden very desirable and we`re now in there.

“We`ll take it one game at a time, we`re in the quarter-finals which is great for the players to be in”.
