We need him back – Many Birmingham Fans Are Hoping Monk Makes A U-Turn On Key Position

|

While senior players faced Brighton in the club’s last pre-season friendly on Saturday, another eleven took to the field in a behind-closed-doors match against Las Palmas on Friday.

Four of them: David Stockdale, Jonathan Grounds, Greg Stewart, Nicolai Brock-Madsen have all been transfer listed by the club, according to the Birmingham Mail.

With the lack of numbers in the first-team squad, I asked supporters which of these four players they would like Garry Monk to reintegrate into his plans:

It’s not too surprising that Stockdale came out on top. Connal Trueman has not played a senior game for the club, with his one experience in the first team coming at Solihull Moors in the National League last season.

However, it seems Monk won’t change his mind on our no.13, and he was quick to praise Connal in his post-match interview after the game against the Seagulls. Hopefully the 22-year-old can step up to the mark in the Championship.
