Neil Warnock is set to become the new manager of Rotherham United, according to the Daily Mirror. Reportedly, the 67 year-old will meet with chairman Tony Stewart who is keen on bringing him to the New York Stadium as Neil Redfearn`s successor.

If a deal can be agreed, it is likely an announcement will be made prior to The Millers home clash against Blues on Saturday.

Rotherham have won only once in their last eight Championship fixtures, leading to Redfearn`s dismissal. Former Blues defender Nicky Eaden was due to take over as caretaker manager, but this will not be the case if a permanent manager is employed.

Eaden has been responsible for preparing the team for Saturday`s encounter. Rotherham sit third from bottom and three points adrift of 21st place Bristol City.

Any deal for Warnock is likely to be a temporary one at this moment in time until Rotherham know for certain which division they`ll be competing in next season.
