Viv Solomon-Otabor could be on his way out of St. Andrews in January, at least on a temporary basis.

The 20 year-old winger broke into the first team last season and put in some impressive performances. But first team opportunities have been hard to come by this term so Gary Rowett may let the youngster go out on loan with a host of clubs expressing an interest.

It’s a surprising turn of events seeing as Solomon-Otabor was earmarked as a potential star for the future. But since breaking into the team, his progress has stalled.

Solomon-Otabor was the natural successor to Demarai Gray who was sold to Leicester City last January. And for a time, it seemed as if the first team place was his to lose.

However, after Rowett bought in Greg Stewart, Solomon-Otabor has found his chances limited.

Rowett wants to see progression in any potential loan spell away from Blues.
