Tickets for the Captial One Cup third round match between Aston Villa and Birmingham City go on sale from 9am on Wednesday 9 September. The game takes place at Villa Park on Tuesday 22nd September (19:45).

Blues have been given an allocation of 2,800 tickets located in the Doug Ellis stand. Adults £30; Over 65s & Students £20; U18s £15.

The club does not envisage any tickets being available once the club class season ticket holders buy up the last of them on Monday 14th September but should there be any it will be shortly after that date that general sale will begin.

For Priority members head over to the site to check what level of membership and what dates correspond.

This game is a huge one with plenty of supporters desperate to go. Blues and Villa have not clashed since 2011 and the time elapsed since then has drawn in a lot of changes at both clubs.

Some Villa fans are concerned Sherwood will be ‘found out’ when going up against a more tactically astute Gary Rowett. Others feel the Premier League quality will be enough to roll Blues over towards the end of the game.

One thing is for sure, the fans will generate plenty of noise for this one.
