Seven-year-old Mason visited the club’s training ground this morning. The Blues fan had missed out on the open training session at St Andrew’s last month after his mother was taken to hospital.
Garry Monk responded by arranging for the kid to see the players during training today. The manager met the supporter, and the video was shared on the club’s official Twitter account:

It was a great gesture from the manager, and it shows that he simply gets the club. Many other coaches simply get on with their work and ignore the distractions of social media, but Monk does devote some time to engaging with the supporters.
He knows that creating a sense of unity between the club, players and fans is vital to success and taking the time out to help those dedicated to the club like Mason is a great demonstration of that.
We will always back a manager who has the best interests of the club at heart, and in Monk, we certainly have that.
