Upson Wants Blues To Cash In On Him

Well Matthew Upson can’t make it anymore clear really, he wants to go now that we’ve paid his wages for months while he’s been injured.

Nice to see now he’s a bit of a name that he wants to move to another club and not work to get Blues back into the Prem either.

Speaking to the local press he said:

‘I have refused a contract and nothing has happened since then. I think it may be in City’s interest, if they want to get as much money as they can for me, to sell me the sooner the better.

‘It will be worth more doing it that way because of the length of time I have left on my contract.

‘I don’t know whether they are thinking like that. I don’t know if they want to keep me. I really haven’t a clue. Could things happen in January? It is something I can’t predict.

‘All I can do is make sure I am in the best possible condition I can be in. I haven’t got a clue. I made a calculated decision and I don’t regret it at all.’

He doesn’t know if Blues want to keep him, well the fact he’s ‘refused’ a contract even for the most stupid of footballers would indicate the club have made an effort to keep him.
