I thought I’d be done with all these nostalgia posts.
But when we’re talking about this guy, I’m quite happy to carry on writing them. And at least it makes a change from the flurry of Lukas Jutkiewicz tribute posts we did last week, although I was happy to write them as well.
Christophe Dugarry is a name that will roll off the tongue of any Blues fan of a certain age. He signed for the club in 2003 and despite his brief time at St Andrew’s he certainly left his mark not just on the club (enough to earn him the title of ‘legend’), but also on the rest of the Premier League as well.
So when the Premier League’s official Twitter account decided to dedicate their ‘goal of the day’ to the Frenchman, well Birmingham fans were never going to be able to contain themselves.
What a player for blues he was can you imagine if we had him in his prime today we’d be scoring for fun ????????⚽️

I was at this match and the best thing about this goal is that the first free kick he scored 2seconds earlier was ruled out and he had to take it again
This is an exact replica of the first...2 amazing free kick's ????????#KRO

I wonder how long it will be before someone else leaves such a lasting legacy on the club dispute only spending a limited amount of time here? I’m talking about a player here, so Garry Monk doesn’t count.
