Undersoil heating on the way

Frozen pitches at St Andrews should be a thing of the past after this season after Birmingham revealed they will install undersoil heating this summer.

The heating will be installed along with a new pitch as part of the club`s ‘New Year, New Start’ campaign.

Blues have considered undertaking the necessary steps for many years but the work was never completed due to costs, leaving the board to spend available funds on players.

Other plans for the ground include the installation of a big screen.
