Under 17 World Cup Winner Could Be A Perfect Solution For Birmingham – Agree?

|

I know loaning players hasn’t particularly worked out that well for us in the past, but I think we should still be open-minded about the situation if there is someone who could really improve the squad.

One of the club’s major headaches this summer is finding someone who could provide a spark from midfield. Creativity is in short supply in central midfield areas, and we have a lack of depth on the wings so I thought I would suggest a name who could plug both holes.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is a talented youngster. He’s already an Under-17 World Cup winner, and helped Chelsea’s Under 23s to the EFL Trophy semi-finals last season; the first academy side to get that far in the competition.

In addition, the 17-year-old is able to play in a number of positions. He can play on the left or right wing, in a central attacking midfield role or even up front.

His scored six goals in 10 Premier League 2 appearances last season, as well as another four in six matches during the Under 23s’ EFL Trophy run. He is now primed to take the next step in his career.

The midfielder is unlikely to get much game time at Chelsea next campaign and could be a perfect squad player for us due to his flexibility. What do you think? Let me know in the poll:
