Two Blues Declared A Major Doubt While One Is Crocked

The last time Birmingham City played Stoke in their backyard for a league fixture was during the 2010/11 Premier League season. On that occasion, we ended up on the wrong side of a 3-2 final score.

It has taken eight years to get to this point, however, with over 3,200 Blues travelling 45 miles north (as the crow flies) wouldn’t it be great if the lads could replicate the 0-7 win, played at the old Victoria Ground way back in 1998.

Injury news

Earlier this morning Blues boss Garry Monk confirmed that 31-year-old central defender Craig Gardner is back in full training after recovering from a knock while Isaac Vassell has begun to run on the grass following a bruised hip. The latest thinking is that he should have returned to full training by the middle of November.

Midfielder David Davis is nursing a sore ankle and will be assessed in the morning.
