The last time Birmingham City played Stoke in their backyard for a league fixture was during the 2010/11 Premier League season. On that occasion, we ended up on the wrong side of a 3-2 final score.

It has taken eight years to get to this point, however, with over 3,200 Blues travelling 45 miles north (as the crow flies) wouldn’t it be great if the lads could replicate the 0-7 win, played at the old Victoria Ground way back in 1998.

Injury news

Earlier this morning Blues boss Garry Monk confirmed that 31-year-old central defender Craig Gardner is back in full training after recovering from a knock while Isaac Vassell has begun to run on the grass following a bruised hip. The latest thinking is that he should have returned to full training by the middle of November.

Midfielder David Davis is nursing a sore ankle and will be assessed in the morning.

  • central defender Craig Gardner…

Davis nursing a sore ankle and will be assessed in the morning…

i wish i understood the motivation for sites to publish such complete bollocks

certainly doesn’t encourage people to come back

    • The biggest gaff in this report is .. 0-7 at Victoria stadium!! It was at Brittania stadium ( I was there in the Waddington suite when the Stokies smashed the suite up)

  • Totally agree Clare
I’ve just wasted 30 seconds of my life reading what everyone has known for months. Lazy piece of writing Dave Hanson
    Click bait .

  • I am really sorry guys. I am new to writing and so I will take the comments on-board and in future try and come up with new and original material. This was my first try and so please, be patient with me.

    • But you know nothing so how can you be taken seriously? Why do you bother writing about something you clearly have no knowledge of? Awful.

  • Why can’t we have supporters write post’s. Instead of wannabe journalists. A Supporter would know players persons and put a bit of Hart and passion into the article
At the same time as connecting with the fan’s.

    • I am a Blue but I have to start somewhere. The Vital boss has agreed to allow me to write and publish articles and so I don’t want to let him, the readers or me down. Having said that, it appears I may have done just that. Bugger!

      • I have an idea why not run a pool asking supporters what they want to read about. Also maybe you should write about why you support Blues and how you feel about the club iterduse your self and I know supporters will help you. On line can be cruel and faceless at times I understand.

      • How can you be a Blue?
Davis broke his ankle in preseason and hadn’t featured all season. Sore ankle bit of an understatement!
Since when ad Craig been a central defender?
Vassell had to have operation on his hip
When dod you lasy go to a match?

  • Sadly this site has plummeted since Rob Wildey left. Major issues like FFP and the EFL are never aired and even today when TTA has reached its two years exclusivities period etc. there isn’t a mention as to whether they intend selling or off loading. These are the issues. At the moment the feeling is that this site is being experimented by volunteers who really haven’t had any training or guidance.-embarrassing the only word.

  • Golden tip for this Vital writer.Search out what Dragon Villa are planning at the moment with regard to being the major shareholder come January. This should redeem yourself as a ‘first’.

  • If they need writers maybe theye should ask Bazzathebluenose he is a brilliant writer and he knows his stuff. Or Larry Patterson if they want someone to deal with the controversial stuff He has good contusions had don’t hold back he says it has it is.
