The January transfer window has been open for little more than 120 hours and we’ve already been inundated with what seems like 427 names of players potentially choosing St. Andrews as their next destination.

But which rumours are true? Rob Wildey analyses.

BAKARY SAKO

The £4m bid on the table for Crystal Palace’s wide man was genuine and not, as some have suggested, a publicity stunt. Birmingham City haven’t gone public on the bid but sources at Palace confirm that the offer was tabled. Sako has decided to keep his options open before committing to a move.

MAX POWER

An enquiry has been made for the Wigan midfielder but no offer has been made. Gianfranco Zola is a fan of the talented youngster and will weigh up his options over the next few days.

CRAIG GARDNER

In undoubtedly the most exciting move as far as Blues fans are concerned, the club have been in talks with West Bromwich Albion about a possible loan move to bring Gardner back where he belongs. Nothing has been agreed though and Albion are keen to source a replacement before agreeing to any deal.

HENRI LANSBURY

Blues made an enquiry about the Nottingham Forest captain but went no further. Derby County and Aston Villa are front runners for his services, reportedly.

RYAN TAFAZOLLI

The Peterbrough defender is catching the eye of many clubs, including Blues. Our source tells us that Zola is interested but no bid has beenĀ  made.

LIAM LINDSAY

Partick Thistle defender Lindsay has been the subject of a tentative enquiry from Blues and one other Championship club. No bid has been made.

RUBEN LOFTUS-CHEEK

The Chelsea midfielder was wanted on loan by Blues and eight other clubs. Zola has been trying to progress this one as a priority but seems to have reached an impasse.
