Birmingham City are reportedly set to rival fellow Championship side Bristol City for Luton Town striker Isaac Vassell, according to the national press.

The League Two striker was part of the team that beat Yeovil Town on the opening day of the season by an outstanding scoreline of 8-2.

Aged 23, Vassell scored two first half goals in that game, meaning he now has a goal to game ratio of just over one in three since his move from non-league side Truro City last season.

It is thought that both Blues and the Robins are willing to spend up to £1 million for the striker, but Luton want more for their prize possession.

Blues fans, would you take a risk on Isaac Vassell? Let us know in the comment section down below!

  • We need a stricker and he’s very good. Blues should sign him. Take the chance. Cus you take a chance with anyone you sign. It’s yes from me.

  • Stop penny pinching and give Luton the £2m or so they want. It is the market price now. Adams cost similar and he is a similar sort of player very powerful and quick.

  • Don’t know anything about Isaac Vassell so it’s hard to judge. It’s a big jump to move to the Championship,he would be a gamble.Would ideally rather someone proven at this level,Abel Hernandez at £11 million, that’s way too high,if Harry could drag that price down he would be a great addition, proven in the Championship, can score the 20 plus. It’s evident to all that we simply must add at least one new striker if we are to have a pop at the top 6 places.
