Birmingham City are poised to sign Chelsea youngster Jeremie Boga on a season-long loan deal, according to MirrorSport.

Boga, 20, is set to sign a new deal with the Premier League champions before heading to St. Andrew’s to play under Harry Redknapp.

The attacking midfielder was named in the starting line-up for Chelsea’s opening day fixture with Burnley, but was the man sacrificed when Gary Cahill was sent off after 18 minutes.

He spent last season on loan at Granada where he made 26 appearances and scored twice.

  • If Boga signs then he would be the attacking midfielder with a choice of defensive midfielders out of Davis,Gardner and Keifenbeld.I have omitted Ndoye as I cannot see him starting another game -embarrassing to say the least with the Brock-Madsen scenario all over again. Still need a commanding general in the middle a la Archie Gemmill and a Devlin type winger.

  • The guy is a quality sining what is up with you people. And a loan mains more money to spend elsewhere.
