Time to go, Gianfranco

BLUES 1 QPR 4

Today was the most passionless, abject performance I’ve witnessed from a Birmingham City side for a long time.

Evidently, the players didn’t have a clue what they were meant to be doing, we created little with the ball and got ripped apart without it.

Without Lukas Jutkiewicz, Blues offered nothing in the way of an attacking threat and QPR, who have found wins hard to come by, played with ease, carving Blues open every time they touched the ball.

Today’s performance was inexcusable. And for that, it’s time for Gianfranco Zola to go. He’s been backed by the fans and by the club, he’s tried to implement a style of football that is entertaining to watch. And for a while, it looked like it was coming to fruition despite losing games. But since beating Fulham, his only win as manager, the team have gone drastically backwards.

We were led to believe that we’d fly after getting the first win. We’ve gone the opposite way.

Forget about Gary Rowett, he’s not coming back. But we must thank Gianfranco Zola for his efforts and find a new manager before we fall into a real relegation scrap.
