When a singing section was suggested to make an appearance down at St.Andrews many fans were extremely supportive, but some were a little sceptical of how it would work.

However, after Friday nights showing from the Tilton Alliance, situated in block four, hopefully the doubters will have been proved wrong after the sold out block got St.Andrews rocking once again.

The fan group set up by Lee Neal has received plenty of attention in the past week or so and next season it looks like they are ready to expand around the stadium and I personally think that this will really help make St.Andrews a fortress.

Albeit, Friday nights game against Middlesbrough probably wasn’t the best time to start their new venture with nearly 5,000 travelling fans in attendance to watch the 2-2 draw singing louder than any away side I have heard in a few years, but it just goes to show that with a little bit of persistence, you can tire out any big opposition.

When the second goal went in for Gary Rowett’s side on the night, the crowded erupted into a chorus of ‘Keep Right On’ and the noise levels were superb and it all came from block four.

As people see that this is going to be a developing idea, I think more and more will get behind the project and with all those involved in the club backing it to make more of an impact then I can only see this fan group going from strength to strength and it wouldn’t surprise me that if by Christmas next season, they have at least three block in the bottom tier of the Tilton sold out.
