St. Andrews is nearing capacity for Aston Villa`s visit on Sunday 30 October. The 12pm kick-off will be the first league meeting between Blues and their second city rivals since 2011.

A source at the club confirmed that almost 20,000 tickets have already been sold, not including Villa`s allocation of 2,000 – reduced due to police advice – which go on sale on Monday.

Blues fans with a booking history prior to this season can purchase tickets from £25 upwards.

The last league game between the sides at St. Andrews ended 1-1 in January 2011. Just weeks prior to that, Blues beat Villa 2-1 in the Carling Cup Quarter Final on their way to lifting the trophy.

The two clubs have only met outside the top tier on eight occasions.
