This Everton youngster should be looked at by Harry Redknapp

Over the past week or so, the rumours surrounding Birmingham City has seen the club linked with a whole host of names from pornstar wannabe Benoit Assou-Ekotto to Marc Wilson of Bournemouth but none of them seem to hold any real solid link.

I have also been looking at several players that I believe the club should be taking an interest in this summer, with the likes of Leeds United midfielder Liam Bridcutt and Hull City winger Sam Clucas on the list.

Well, having looked at some of the young talent that might be on offer to Blues manager Harry Redknapp this summer, I have picked out one of the best in the bunch in my opinion.

In January 2017, Everton paid Charlton Athletic £11 million for 19-year-old forward Ademola Lookman.

In his first game for the club, he scored the fourth goal in the fantastic victory of giants Manchester City and he has since gone on to make a further seven appearances for the Toffees.

However, with the likes of Ross Barkley and Tom Davies ahead of him, although it looks like England international Barkley could be on his way out of the club this summer, it could mean that Ronald Koeman could be looking to send Lookman out on loan for the 2017/18 campaign.

With Blues seemingly looking to push for a play-off or automatic promotion spot next season, Koeman would be sending Lookman to a very ambitious club, a bit like Everton, and he would almost be guaranteed game time alongside both Che Adams and Lukas Jutkiewicz.

Prior to his move to the Premier League, Lookman made 24 appearances in the Championship in the 2015/16 season, including two against Blues, games in which the Addicks won 1-0 and 2-1.

Lookman has fantastic potential, more than the dreadful loan signing of Jerome Sinclair, so it would be a sin to keep him locked away playing under 23’s football next season so I believe that Redknapp should make a move for the 19-year-old ahead of the 17/18 Championship campaign.
