‘This bottle is for BCFC’ – Peter Pannu

Peter Pannu has been singing his own praises on his Facebook account.

The former Blues and BIHL director posted a picture of a bottle of wine and wrote- ‘This bottle is for BCFC and BIHL, and for  BIHL`s resumption of trading. Happy for the fans who had suffered for a long time and hope a change in owners will bring positive changes. I did my part in delivering a Carling Cup, getting various hospitality awards and preventing a bankruptcy when  all the owner`s assets were frozen and holding the fort for a new owner.  Hope  the new owners can take it further’.

The comment smacks of self-delusion and will frustrate many Blues fans who held Pannu accountable for the recent troubles.

Pannu, who is still involved in BIHL, was Blues’ second highest paid member of staff after Nikola Zigic  for the three years he was on the pay roll – picking up more than  £1m a year to act as an adviser.
