It wasn’t pretty, but it was a point, so it wasn’t exactly a disaster.
The Blues travelled north to Yorkshire with hopes of getting back on track having gone into the international break off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Fulham. And whilst the point might be the biggest talking point after the game, there was really only one talking point before the game kicked off, and that concerned who was between the sticks.
Having dangled the carrot in the week that he might be considering a change, Pep Clotet finally bit the bullet and decided that enough was enough and went with 23-year-old Connal Trueman in goal, much to the delight of the Birmingham City fans on social media.
Now or never for CT. Too old to be potential, prove it Big Man!

So with all that pressure piled on his shoulders, the question was, would he be able to put in a good enough performance to keep his place in net going forward?
He wasn’t tested all that much, with the home side restricted to just six shots on target, however he certainly did enough to convince the supporters that he doesn’t deserve to drop to the bench anytime soon, especially after one particularly impressive save in the first half.
Things you love to see

Will Pep Clotet stay in the dugout all season?
Yes
No
Now that he’s got hold of that spot, hopefully he doesn’t give it up too soon.
