Reports in Turkey have linked us with an offer for Arsenal defender Krystian Bielik. Galatasaray are also believed to be in for the 20-year-old, and it looks as if we are the two main clubs looking to recruit the centre-back.

The Polish Under 21 international was previously on loan at St Andrew’s in the latter half of the 2016/17 season. Almost three-quarters of fans polled would like┬áto see the defender back at the club:

The major concern for me would be Bielik’s match fitness. He had a knee injury at the start of last campaign and suffered from a number of hamstring problems whilst on loan at League One side Walsall.

He eventually cut his time at the Saddlers short at the end of March to return to Arsenal for further treatment.

The defender did have his moments in a Blues shirt, and we could do with another body in the centre of defence, but his fitness is a worry. What do you think, is a move fo Bielik a good idea? Let me know in the comments.

  • Not reliable enough with his injuries. But should be stay fit then could help out, but I’d say go for someone else like mcquire

  • Couldn’t make am impact at Walsall. What good would he be to us. Not as good as any player we already have.

  • Id say no, we have 3 centre backs and youth to call on if we need. we need to concentrate on a striker who can score goals, create centre midfielder oh and a goalkeeper! centre back is last of our worries. KRO SOTV
