After receiving the news on Saturday that Birmingham City youngster Demarai Gray was finally on his way out of the club, deciding transfer targets became a little bit easier.

In the first of seven articles that I will be bringing you over the coming week, I believe Gary Rowett should move to bring current loanee Jon Toral in on a permanent deal.

As many fans will agree, despite Toral being a perfect fit for Blues in the Championship, he is far from a Premier League player at this moment in time.

Yes, at the moment the Gunners have some injury worries, like they always seem to have around this time of the season, but I still don’t think Toral would get into their team.

For this reason, the 20 year old Spanish no.10 would be a perfect buy for Blues. It is my understanding that Toral doesn’t have long left on his contract at Arsenal and Blues might be able to strike a deal with the North London club.

Looking at it realistically, now Blues boss Rowett has confirmed that there is definitely money to spend following the imminent departure of Gray, I would suggest us bidding around £350,000 for Toral.

Now, some fans, both Blues and Arsenal, might be thinking that that sum is too low. Well, if my hunches are right and Toral only has six months left on his current contract (I am not saying that I am right by the way!), then that figure might be one that interests the Premier League leaders.

Toral has added a fair amount to the Blues squad in terms of goals and assists, and even though Andy Shinnie is a talented player, he just doesn’t give you that threat that Toral does.

Despite sometimes looking like he is lacking match fitness, on his day, Toral is unstoppable and for that reason, I think he is one of the players that Rowett needs to sign!

Blues fans, do you agree that Gary Rowett should make a move for Jon Toral? Would you like to see his current loan deal turned into a permanent one? Let us know in the comment section down below!
