The potential loan ranger – Option No.5

As we hit the fifth potential loan ranger for this week, I am going to head into midfield and choose my youngster player of the series.

Suggested to me by Vital Birmingham’s Luke Turner, this player hasn’t really been given much chance at his current club, but at the age of just 18 years old, he certainly has plenty of potential to make it in the Premier League.

The player I am talking about is Manu Garcia from former Premier League champions Manchester City.

So far this season, Garcia has made just two appearances for the Citizens and personally I don’t think that he will make many more, especially as his last game came all the way back in October for them.

The Spanish central midfielder joined the club in the summer of 2014 and during his time with the club he has made just those two previously mentioned appearances, but he has scored one goal in those two games.

His goal came against Crystal Palace in a 5-1 win and it shows that he isn’t just somebody who is creative, but he is also someone who knows how to find the back of the net as well.

Potentially I think there could be quite a few teams in the Sky Bet Championship and maybe even the lower reaches of the Premier League after this youngster and I would love it if Birmingham City was one of those sides.

Gary Rowett has stressed that a midfielder to take the burden off Stephen Gleeson would be good to have and although Maikel Kieftenbeld has really stepped up over the past month or so, I still think we could do with adding one more to our small squad.

Blues fans, what do you make of this suggestion? Do you think Manu Garcia could make an impact on the squad that we have at the moment? Let us know in the comment section down below!
