The potential loan ranger – Option No.4

In the penultimate episode in this five part series I am finally heading into the defensive area of the side.

Once again it has been difficult to find a player that I think can really made a difference to what we already have in our squad but I think I have managed to do it.

The young left back has already played for two separate clubs this season which would be my only worry with this deal but I wanted to highlight him anyway.

The teenager that I am talking about is Ben Chilwell from Leicester City.

At the age of just 19, Chilwell has made two cup appearances for the Foxes so far this season, both coming this month against Tottenham Hotspur, but he has also played nine games for Championship side Huddersfield Town.

The fact that he has played for two clubs mean that he cannot play for a third club in the same season, but please do correct me if I am wrong in the comment section.

In both games against Spurs Chilwell played exceptionally and he was also part of the Terriers side that came to St.Andrews and won 2-0 back in early December.

The Leicester City youngster clearly knows how to perform at this level having kept a clean sheet in a third of his games for Town and his addition to our squad could be a very important one, should the deal actually be allowed to go ahead.

For me, Chilwell is the sort of player that Gary Rowett should be looking at but it is highly unlikely that he will be looking at the teenager for the main reason that he would only be at the club for six months.

I personally would love to see Chilwell join the club but like I have previously stated, with the 19 year old already having played for two clubs so far this season, I don’t think anything could happen.

Blues fans, if you were Gary Rowett, would you make a move for Ben Chilwell on loan? Let us know in the comment section down below!
