The potential loan ranger – Option No.3

It is always difficult trying to decide which players could make an impact half way through a season at a side which is performing to a higher expectation than was believed.

However, after some discussions with the fellow writers here at Vital Birmingham I believe that amongst us we have come up with another few gems to see this series out.

Originally I would have liked to have seen Mauro Zarate return on loan but unfortunately he has just moved abroad so that deal would never happen.

Despite the initial set back to my plans, I believe that today’s potential loan ranger could be a gem! My choice for today, as suggested by Vital Birmingham writer Sask Bowes, Liverpool youngster Joao Teixeira.

Previously on loan with Brighton and Hove Albion in the 2014/2015 Championship season, the 23 year old Liverpool man knows what to expect in this division and I think he could be an excellent addition to the squad.

Although Blues boss Gary Rowett has a young wide attacking player in the form of Viv Solomon-Otabor, I think that Teixeira could offer us more going forward.

Yes Solomon-Otabor is a fantastic young talent but you have to ask yourself, can he really play week in, week out?

Personally for me I think this season has come too early for him to start doing that. Next season I can see him having a starting berth from the opening weekend on the new season and I think it will be fantastic to see him blossom.

I would like to see Teixeira brought in because I think he would give us more attacking threat, but it could cause problems as it would mean that we would have five wide men at the club and that might be something that Rowett isn’t overly interested in.

Blues fans, would you like to see us make a move for the Liverpool youngster? How do you think he would fit into the team? Let us know in the comment section down below!
