In the second part of this three part series, I am going to take a look at what the Sky Bet Championship has to offer in terms of free transfers this summer and would you Adam and Eve it, there are some fantastic players on offer.

Blues boss Gary Rowett has already admitted to the press that freebies and bargains are what he is looking for in the summer and he has highlighted that he wants to bring in at least four new players so here you go Gary, feast your eyes on these players that I have chosen.

1. FABIO – CARDIFF CITY.

The 25-year-old Brazilian left back is due to be out of contract when his current deal expires on the 30th of June and with Blues having a shortage of players in that current spot I think he could be a good option for us to have in the squad.

As he is still young, it would be that Rowett would be able to mould him into the sort of player that he is looking for and it would also mean that we have long term cover for Jonathan Grounds.

Fabio has played 26 times for Cardiff this season which shows to me that he is capable of playing regularly at this level and consistently also.

2. CALLUM HARRIOTT – CHARLTON ATHLETIC.

At the age of just 22, Harriott would be a fantastic option for us to have and with Rowett admitting that he is looking to bolster his youth players, I think the youngster would be a fantastic buy for us.

As he is under the age of 23, I believe that Charlton would be entitled to some sort of compensation fee but it shouldn’t be too high considering the state they are in at the moment.

With 10 goals to his name in 42 appearances this season for the Addicks, it is clear to see that he is far too good for League One and if Blues were to get in there quickly then they could get themselves a fantastic young player.

3. SONE ALUKO – HULL CITY.

Despite not being a regular starter for the Tigers this season, Aluko has still made 30 appearances for them, scoring three times which isn’t all that impressive, but I think he would be a good player for us to have off the bench.

Rowett has already stressed that the striking department is somewhere where he wants to improve the options that he has and with Aluko only being 27, I think he might be somebody that would suit Blues down to a T.

Aluko was a youth player for Blues back in the day and I think he could follow Adam Legzdins’ footsteps and come back to where it all started for him as he may have something to prove.

4. JUNIOR HOILETT – QUEENS PARK RANGERS.

This is by far the most out there suggestion of the four players because I think he will be on phenomenal wages but Blues have worked their magic before and if they could bring the Canadian wideman in then it would show a real sign of intent.

The 25-year-old probably hasn’t featured as much as he would have liked for Rangers this season, with just 33 appearances made in all competitions, but I have no doubt that if he was given the chance to shine then he really would.

Although he is predominantly a winger, Hoilett can also play through the middle and if we had him as an option alongside Diego Fabbrini then I think we would be in business next season.

Blues fans, which one of the four players that have been suggested from the Championship freebie list would you like to see us sign? Let us know in the comment section down below!
