The Battle Is Now On. Bottle Will Be Needed For Blues Eight Game Challenge

|

We all now know what’s needed for our beloved club to remain in the Championship for another season. Since the news via the EFL deducting us nine points, a new target is now our one and only aim.

To survive we probably only need a total of 48 points.

With a far superior goal difference to those around us these seven extra points should be well achievable. Easier said than done though, I must admit.

What then will be Garry Monk’s plan for these remaining games? I’m sure we all have our own ideas. Once the news came through on the 9 point penalty, I thought what formation I would probably adopt should I be the manager. It would be interesting to know what fellow bluenoses would select.

Bearing in my the situation that now confronts us I would go for three centre backs in Morrison, Dean and Roberts with Colin and Pedersen completing the defensive set up.

Midfield is the problem area with only Keifenbeld and Gardner(G) the obvious choice unless Davis hits top fitness which is doubtful.

Adams and Juke a must up front.

This leaves the area of real concern whether you play Maghoma or Jota or Mahoney. Garry Monk appears to prefer Mahoney over most, but I feel Maghoma carries the greater threat.

So here goes:- Camp, Colin Morrison Dean Roberts Pedersen, Keifenbeld, Gardner, Maghoma, Adams Juke.

This would be my blueprint for the rest of the season, with the option of fresh legs at around the 70th minute from the likes of Vassell, Davis and Jota.
