Lee Clark admitted that he was a fan of the loan system in this country and also thankful to Manchester United for helping out.
Blues pulled off a great win at Charlton, thanks to a brace of goals from Frederico Macheda, a win that now see’s Blues open up a four point gap between themselves and the drop zone.
Macheda grabbed a goal in each half, bringing his tally to three since joining the club on loan at the end of January.
Clark told reporters: ‘I lost five players on loan on New Year’s Day and had to rebuild the squad.
‘It took a while and we lost three league games which knocked the stuffing out of us.
‘Luckily I was able to recruit new players and they have done very well for us.’
Clark also reserved a word or two of thanks for under fire Manchester United boss David Moyes who has been more than helpful to Blues of late.
He added: ‘We have got a bit of a conveyor belt from Manchester United, and we thank David Moyes for helping us.
‘I only hope they don’t do so well and then they go back early.’
Blues are back in action again on Tuesday night when they make the trip to Watford.
