Martin Taylor has expressed his concerns at how teams are opening up Blues, especially Leeds at the weekend.

Speaking to the press after the game he said:

‘We are playing decent football and creating openings. We look like we will score.

‘But as a team, every part of the team, we need to defend better. We need to do better as a back four and as a midfield four tracking runners and that kind of thing.

‘They didn’t really steamroller us, but they did have chances and they scored sloppy goals from our point of view.

‘The first goal, from a free-kick, we had a good discussion in the changing room how we were going to pick up and then someone’s managed to get completely free.

‘Maybe because we have got players who want to go forward it does catch us out sometimes.

‘We need to push up more, condense the play. It was kind of open again in the first half, we needed to get out.

‘It’s not so much individual mistakes that are costing us, it’s a collective thing.’
