“Take a risk”, “here we go again”- These Blues fans brush off reports surrounding 25 y/o stopper

|

Well, it looks as if plans are already in place.

And it probably means that yesterday’s news about Lee Camp’s new deal really does only cover us until the end of the season, because now it’s really clear that we’re looking for his successor.

According to a report from BirminghamLive, the Blues are taking a keen interest in Queen’s Park Rangers goalkeeper Seny Dieng, with @WeAreBirmingham going on to report that contact has been made between the two sides over his services. The 25-year-old stopper has been on loan at Doncaster Rovers this season, conceding 32 goals in 32 games in all competitions whilst keeping 10 clean sheets along the way.

The Blues’ goalkeeping department is looking set to be pretty bare next season with the only senior goalkeeper with any experience being Connal Trueman, and with 115 career games under his belt, Dieng would certainly bring a lot of experience to the proceedings.

Should the club go after Seny Dieng?

Yes

No

However, based on the reaction of fans on social media, they don’t seem overly confident or in some cases concerned about the link between them and Dieng.

What about you? Do you think we should go after the stopper?

Blues’ has two outstanding young goalkeepers in Moha Ramos (Real Madrid) and Zach Jeacock (England Under 19 International).
One or both should be given a chance to prove themselves in the remaining nine games.

What self respecting manager would come to a club to be the CEO’s stooge? Obviously we will end up with someone with no self respect or someone just here for the money.
