Swansea City are the visitors to St Andrews this weekend as Blues try to progress into the fifth round of the FA Cup, and the referee for that game, unless there is a late change, will be Neil Swarbrick.

10th March 2012 was the last time we met up with Swarbrick, which was when Blues took on Coventry City in the Championship at the Ricoh Arena. Birmingham drew the game 1-1 after Marlon King equalised just two minutes after Garry McSheffrey had given Coventry the lead on 70 minutes.

But after coming on in the 73rd minute, Jordan Much was sent off on 90 minutes.

This season Swarbrick is mainly in charge of Premier league games, but does drop into the Championship every so often as well as Capital One and FA Cup competitions. He has been in charge of 18 games so far this season and has shown 54 yellow cards and just the one red.

Swarbrick’s assistants are well known to everyone they are Simon Beck and Robert Merchant, while the fourth official is Andy D’Urso.
